"....captivating
detail and engaging musicianship"
Since their critically acclaimed Wigmore Hall London
debut in 2002, The Lee Trio continues to inspire and
move audiences around the world.
Sisters Angela (cello), Lisa
(violin), and Melinda (piano) have established
themselves as one of the premier international
ensembles. Winners of numerous competitions and
graduates from Julliard, Yale and Harvard, each
member is a brilliant soloist in their own right.
In 2007 they
won the Gotthard-Schierse-Stiftung Grant in Berlin
for rising international stars and they’ve performed
all over the world in recitals at Carnegie Hall,
Mendelssohn Festival and Bachfest in Leipzig and
Herbst Theatre in San Francisco.
Their passion for living
composers was recognized when The Lee Trio received
the San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music Musical
Grant Program, where they premiered
Piano TrioNo. 1 -
with each movement named for each sister – written
by American composer Nathaniel Stookey.
The Lee Trio weaves brilliance and artistry –
passion and performance – family and focus.
